YouTube videos and web pages
Show a YouTube video, playlist or live stream, or a live web page like a dashboard, full screen or inside a design.
Add a link instead of uploading a file.
Full screen
- Go to Content → Video, slides or web page.
- Paste a YouTube link (videos, Shorts, live streams and playlists all work), or a web address.
- Add it to a playlist like anything else, and publish.
YouTube videos loop silently unless you turn on sound (see below). Web pages are shown live, so dashboards and pages that update themselves stay current.
Inside a design
To show a video or web page in part of a design, with your own text and branding around it, use Widgets → More → YouTube video or Web page in the designer. In a design, YouTube sound can be turned on in the widget's settings.
Good to know
- Both need the screen to be online; they can't play while the internet is down. For videos that must always play, upload the video file instead. See Upload photos, videos, PDFs, PowerPoints and music.
- Some websites refuse to be shown inside other pages (many banks and social networks do). If a page stays blank, that site doesn't allow it.
- Pages that need you to sign in usually won't work, because the screen can't sign in for you. Look for a public "share" or "publish to web" link instead; Google Slides and many dashboard tools offer one.
