Connect your own systems with the API

The SignBlink API lets your till, booking system or safety system update screens automatically. Free with every account.

The SignBlink API lets other software work with your screens: update a menu from your till, send alerts from a safety system, or check which screens are offline. It's included free with every account.

Create an API key

  1. Account owners go to Settings → API and choose Create a key.
  2. Name it after what will use it, like "Menu sync", and choose Full access or Read only.
  3. Copy the key straight away. For security, SignBlink won't show it again.

Give the key to the person or system setting up the connection. Keep keys on servers, not in web pages that others can open. Delete a key any time and anything using it stops working straight away.

Everything a key does shows in Settings → Activity under the key's name.

Webhooks

SignBlink can also tell your systems when things happen — a screen going offline, an alert going up, screens being published — by sending events to an address you choose. Owners set these up in Settings → API → Webhooks. No code? Use them with Zapier or Make: Connect SignBlink to Zapier or Make.
