Playlists

Put content in order, set how long each item shows, pause items, and preview the result before it goes live.

A playlist is the order your content plays in. Use one playlist for every screen, or different ones for different screens and times of day. A playlist can play on many screens at once, so editing it updates all of them when you publish.

Make a playlist

  1. Go to Playlists → New playlist and name it.
  2. Choose Add content, then pick photos, videos, PDFs or designs from your library, or upload new ones.
  3. Drag items into the order you want.
  4. Choose the playlist on a screen: open the screen, go to What plays, and pick it as the Main playlist.
  5. Publish.

The playlist shows how many items it has and how long one loop takes. At the end it starts again from the top.

Item settings

SettingWhat it does
Seconds on screenHow long a photo, design or each PDF page shows. Videos always play to the end.
Fit / FillFit shows the whole photo or video, with bands if its shape differs from the screen. Fill covers the screen, trimming the edges.
SoundFor videos with a sound track: play it, or play silently.
PauseSkips the item without removing it. It shows a Paused badge until you resume it.
Show only at certain timesStart and stop dates for the item. See Show an item only for a while.

Preview

Preview plays the playlist in the real player, exactly as the TV will, including your unpublished changes.

Drafts and publishing

Changes save automatically but don't reach your screens until you publish. A banner says These changes aren't on your screens yet until you do. Changed your mind? Discard unpublished changes puts the playlist back to how it was when you last published.

Other actions

  • Duplicate makes a copy, handy for a seasonal version of a menu.
  • Delete playlist moves it to Recently deleted for 30 days. Screens that used it keep showing it until you publish them.

Background music has its own playlists under Music. See Background music.
