Each screen's Sound tab has two parts.

Right now

Changes here apply at once, with no publishing:

  • Mute or Unmute the screen.
  • Drag the volume to change it for now. SignBlink shows the usual volume and offers to Go back to it.

The line at the top tells you what the player is doing, like playing music or blocked by the browser.

Usual settings

These reach the screen when you publish:

SettingWhat it does
Music playlistWhich music plays. See Background music.
VolumeThe normal volume, 0 to 100. Also used for videos that play their own sound. The TV's own volume still applies.
Play musicWhenever the screen is on, or Only during set hours: pick the days and the times. Hours can run past midnight.
When a video plays its own soundTurn the music down while the video plays, or Pause the music until it ends.

Whether a video plays its sound at all is set on the video in the playlist. See Playlists.

For several screens at once, mute or unmute a group. See Groups — manage many screens at once.
