Show an item only for a while

Give one item in a playlist start and stop dates, so promotions appear and disappear by themselves.

Temporary content removes itself, so there's no need to remember to take down last week's offer.

  1. Open the playlist.
  2. On the item, choose the calendar icon: Show only at certain times.
  3. Choose when it should Stop showing after: Tonight, Tomorrow night, End of this week, In 30 days, or pick a date and time.
  4. Optionally, set Start showing on so it appears on a future date.
  5. Publish.

Before its start, and after its end, the item is skipped and the rest of the playlist plays as normal. Times use each screen's local time.

Item dates or time slots?

  • Use item dates for one thing that comes and goes, like a sale poster, inside a playlist that otherwise stays the same.
  • Use time slots to switch a screen between whole playlists, like breakfast and lunch menus. See Schedule playlists by time and day.
