Calendars and events

Show a month, a week, today's schedule or what's coming up — with events you type in once.

Calendar widgets show events on your screens and turn the page at midnight by themselves. Add one from Widgets → Calendars in the designer, or start from a template in the Calendars & schedules category.

Choose a layout

  • Month calendar — a full month with events in the days.
  • Week — the next seven days.
  • Upcoming events — a list of what's next.
  • Today's schedule — today's events in order, like a class timetable.
  • Next event — one event, large, with how long until it starts.
  • Mini month — a small month with today circled.

Connect Google, Outlook or iCloud

Already keep a calendar in Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud, or a booking system? Connect it and its events show by themselves. See Show Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud on a screen.

Or type events in

  1. Select the calendar and choose Edit events on the calendar.
  2. Click a day to add an event. Give it a title, a time (or make it all day), and a color or emoji if you like.
  3. Events can repeat every day, every weekday, every week, every month or every year. To skip one date of a repeating event, open it on that date and choose Skip this date only.

Until you add your own, the calendar shows sample events so you can see the look. They disappear as soon as you add one.

Fitting the text

Event text wraps and shrinks to show the full label. If you'd rather keep everything one size, turn on Allow event text to be cut off (…). Each event can override this.

Times are always in each screen's local time, and calendars keep working offline.
