Mac, Linux, Chromebooks and tablets
Any device with a modern web browser can be a SignBlink player — here's how to set each one up.
SignBlink's player is a web page, so any device with a modern browser can run it: a Mac, a Linux computer, a Chromebook or a tablet.
Any computer or tablet
- Open
app.signblink.com/playin Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. - Enter the 6-character code it shows under Screens → Add screen.
- Go full screen: F11 on Windows and Linux, Ctrl + Cmd + F on a Mac.
- Turn off sleep and the screen saver in the device's settings, and keep it plugged in.

For an always-on Linux player (Ubuntu, Debian and similar, with a desktop):
- Install Chromium if you don't have it:
sudo snap install chromiumon Ubuntu, orsudo apt install chromiumon Debian. - In Settings → Users, turn on Automatic Login. In Settings → Power, set Screen Blank to Never and turn off automatic suspend.
- Add SignBlink to the programs that open at sign-in. The exact command is in SignBlink under Screens → Add screen → Set up the TV → Linux; copy it into a terminal.
- Restart. SignBlink opens full screen with a code. Enter it under Screens → Add screen.
If it doesn't open after restarting, check that automatic login is on and that the file ~/.config/autostart/signblink.desktop exists.
