Proof of play reports

See what each screen actually showed, how often and for how long — and download it as a spreadsheet.

Proof of play shows what each screen actually showed, taken from the players' own logs. It's useful for checking a campaign ran, or showing an advertiser or sponsor their slot played.

  1. Go to Proof of play.
  2. Choose the Dates: Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, This month, or Custom.
  3. Choose All screens, or one screen.

You'll see:

  • Plays, Time on screen, Average play and how many Screens reporting.
  • Plays per day.
  • By content: each item's plays, total time on screen, which screens showed it, and when it was last shown.
  • By screen: what each screen played.
  • QR code scans: each QR code that counts scans, where it goes, and how many times it was scanned.

Choose Download CSV to open it in Excel or Google Sheets.

How plays are counted

A play is each time something comes on screen for at least a second; On screen adds up how long it stayed. Content in playlist zones is counted too. Days follow your organization's time zone.

Players that were offline keep their logs and send them when they reconnect, so recent numbers can fill in a little later.

QR code scans

Select a QR code in the designer and turn on Count scans (it's on for new QR codes). The code then holds a short SignBlink link that counts the scan and sends the phone straight on to your link. The designer shows the scans for the last 7 days, and Proof of play lists every code.

  • You can change where the code goes later, and the code on screen stays the same. Phones go to the new link once the design is saved.
  • The same phone scanning again within half an hour counts once. Link previews (in messages and chat apps) aren't counted.
  • Nothing about the person scanning is kept: no address, location or device.
  • Scans count for web addresses. Wi-Fi codes and plain text work as before, without counting.

Weekly summary email

Every Monday morning (your time), owners get an email about the week before: how long each screen showed your content (as a share of its screen hours, if it has them), plays, any screen that's offline or was dark, what was shown the most, and QR code scans. Turn it off with the link in the email or in Settings → Notifications; anyone else whose role includes Proof of play can turn it on there.
