Split screen with playlist zones

Divide a screen into areas that each play their own playlist, with a ticker or your branding around them.

A playlist zone is an area of a design that plays a playlist of its own. Photos, videos and designs take turns in the zone, while the rest of the design — your logo, a clock, a ticker — stays put.

Make a split-screen layout

  1. Open or create a design, and choose Widgets → Split screen.
  2. Pick Playlist zone (one area), Two zones + ticker, or Three zones. They're placed in one step.
  3. Select a zone and choose its playlist, or choose New playlist to make one for it.
  4. Arrange and resize the zones like anything else in the designer, and add whatever you like around them.
  5. Put the design in your screen's playlist and publish.

Zone options

  • Photos and videos: Fill the zone covers the whole area, trimming the edges if the shapes differ. Show all of it shows the whole picture, with a color of your choice behind it.
  • Designs always show whole, with their own background around them. For a tall zone, a portrait design fits best.
  • Videos in a zone play silently.

Press Preview in the designer to watch the zones play. Changes to a zone's playlist reach screens when you publish.

Content in zones is counted in Proof of play reports reports too.
