Get emailed when a screen goes offline

Turn on email alerts for screens that go offline, come back, or don't pick up an update.

SignBlink can email you when something needs your attention, so you hear about a dark screen before your customers do.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Turn on Email me about selected events.
  3. Choose which events you want:
EventWhen it's sent
Screen offlineA connected screen stops checking in for a few minutes.
Screen back onlineA screen that went offline is checking in normally again.
Screen update delayedAn online screen hasn't confirmed your latest publish in time.
Screen update confirmedA delayed screen has now confirmed the update.
Support replyOur support team replies to your ticket.
Ticket status changedA ticket is resolved, reopened or marked as waiting.
  1. Choose Send me a test to check the emails reach you.

Email alerts start off, and each person on your team chooses their own. Emails go to the address on your account; change it in Settings → Your account.

Below your choices, you'll see the latest emails SignBlink sent you and whether each was delivered.

Account security and billing emails, like password resets, are sent separately and aren't affected by these choices.

Weekly summary

Every Monday morning, owners get a summary of the week before: how each screen did, anything that needs a look, what was shown the most and QR code scans. Switch it off (or on, if your role includes Proof of play) under Weekly summary in Settings → Notifications, or use the unsubscribe link in the email. See Proof of play reports.

Getting-started emails

During your free trial, SignBlink sends a couple of short tips: how to connect your first screen (only if you haven't yet), and ideas for what to show. To stop them, use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of either email, or switch off Send me tips while I'm getting set up in Settings › Notifications. Emails about your account, security and billing always arrive.
