Restart, mute or identify a screen remotely

Restart a player, mute it, change the volume or make a TV show its name — all from SignBlink.

Most things you'd walk over to the TV for, you can do from SignBlink.

Restart the player

Open the screen and choose ⋯ → Restart player. The TV reloads the player; the screen goes blank for a few seconds, then carries on with what it was showing. This fixes most odd behavior, and it's how older players pick up updates.

Mute or change the volume

On the screen's Sound tab, the Right now controls work straight away, without publishing:

  • Mute or Unmute.
  • Drag the volume slider. It's a temporary change; SignBlink shows the usual volume and offers Go back to it.

To change the normal volume, music and quiet hours, see Volume, quiet hours and video sound.

Identify a TV

In a room full of screens, choose ⋯ → Identify on the TV. That TV shows its name for 10 seconds.

Many screens at once

A group lets you restart, mute or unmute several screens together. See Groups — manage many screens at once.
