Terms of service
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and SignBlink (“SignBlink”, “we”, “us”) for using SignBlink. Please read them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
1. The agreement
By creating an account or using SignBlink, you agree to these terms. If you use SignBlink for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so; “you” then means that organization. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. The service
SignBlink lets you design content, organize it into playlists and schedules, and play it on screens that run our player in a web browser or app. You provide the screens, the devices that run the player, and their internet connection. We don’t sell or support hardware, but we publish setup guides for common devices.
3. Accounts
- Keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including the actions of teammates you invite.
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current so you receive account and billing notices.
4. Free trial
New accounts may include a free trial (currently 7 days for one screen), with no card required. When the trial ends, subscribe to keep your screens playing your content; until you do, your screens show a neutral standby screen and your designs, media and playlists stay in your account.
5. Plans and billing
- Pricing. Plans are priced per screen, billed monthly or yearly at the prices on our pricing page when you subscribe. Prices don’t include taxes; any applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- Payment. Subscriptions are paid in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- Changes. When you add or remove screens or switch between monthly and yearly, the charge or credit is shown before you confirm and is usually prorated for the rest of the period.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time in Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for and then doesn’t renew.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused screens or periods you didn’t use, except where the law requires otherwise or where we decide to make an exception.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days while you update your payment method. After that, your screens keep playing what’s on them but editing and publishing are paused until the balance is paid.
- Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period; if you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
- Promotions. Discount codes and promotional pricing apply only as described when offered, can’t be exchanged for cash, and may expire.
6. Your content
You own the content you upload or create in SignBlink. You give us permission to host, copy, process, resize, convert and transmit it, and to show it on the screens you choose, only as needed to provide and support the service.
You are responsible for your content and for where you show it. You confirm you have the rights to use everything you display — including photos, videos, music, logos, fonts and other people’s names or images — and that your content and its display follow the laws and rules that apply to you, such as advertising, consumer-protection, accessibility and privacy rules. Displaying content in public places can have extra requirements; meeting them is up to you.
Music and sound. Playing music or other audio out loud in a business is a public performance. For music you upload, radio stations you add and sound in your videos, you are responsible for having the rights and any licences needed (for example from ASCAP, BMI, SESAC or GMR in the United States, or the equivalent where you are) — a personal streaming subscription usually doesn’t include them.
7. Templates and included media
You may use our templates, built-in photos, 3D stickers, icons and fonts in designs that you display for your own business or organization, and change them as you like. You may not resell, share or distribute them as templates or as standalone files, or use them to build a competing template library.
Some included media comes from third parties under their own licenses (for example, 3D stickers from Microsoft Fluent Emoji under the MIT License, and public-domain and stock photos from Openverse, Pexels or Pixabay). Stock photos may show people, places, products or brands; whether you need additional permissions for a particular use, such as advertising, is your responsibility.
The free music library lists Creative Commons tracks (found through Openverse, mostly from Jamendo) whose licences allow use in a business. Each track keeps its licence and credit, which you agree to follow; we don’t grant any rights in that music ourselves.
8. Live content and other services
Weather, sports, news, clocks, countdowns, YouTube videos, internet radio stations, web pages and imports from Canva come from third parties or depend on them. We don’t control them and can’t guarantee they are accurate, complete, timely or available. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SignBlink to:
- display or store content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, or that exploits minors;
- upload malware or anything designed to harm devices, networks or data;
- try to access accounts, screens or data that aren’t yours, test or bypass our security, or interfere with the service or other customers;
- scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests;
- resell or sublicense the service to others without our written agreement.
We may remove content or suspend screens that violate these terms, and we will tell you when we do unless the law or a security risk prevents it.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep SignBlink reliable, and players are built to keep showing your content when their internet connection drops. But we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may need maintenance time. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove something important you pay for, we’ll give you reasonable notice.
11. Cancelling and termination
You can stop using SignBlink and cancel your plan at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you don’t pay, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we must to comply with the law or protect the service or others; where reasonable we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we stop offering SignBlink, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
Before you close your account, download anything you want to keep. After an account closes, we delete its content as described in our privacy policy. Sections 6–8 and 12–16 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
12. Disclaimers
Except as these terms expressly say, SignBlink is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities; and (b) each party’s total liability arising from SignBlink or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits don’t apply to your payment obligations, your obligations under section 14, or liability that can’t be limited by law.
14. Responsibility for your content
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties that arise from your content, how you display it, or your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we’ll notify account owners by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using SignBlink after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel.
17. General
These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about SignBlink and replace earlier agreements on the same subject. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn’t a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may send you notices by email or in the app.
