The TV shows a pairing code again

Why a connected player can go back to showing a code, and how to reconnect it without losing anything.

A player shows a 6-character code when it isn't connected to a screen. If one that was working shows a code again, either:

  • The player's browser forgot its saved data (some smart TV browsers do this when switched off, or after an update), or
  • The player was disconnected or replaced in SignBlink, or its screen was removed.

Reconnect it

  1. In SignBlink, open the screen it belongs to.
  2. Go to the Player tab.
  3. Under Replace the player, enter the code on the TV.

The screen's playlists, schedules and settings are all kept. Don't add it as a new screen, or you'll have two.
