Video walls

Join several TVs into one big picture, line them up precisely, and play a playlist across all of them.

A video wall is several TVs side by side showing one big picture. Each TV needs its own player, connected as a screen. SignBlink keeps them in step, so slides change on every TV at the same moment.

Make a wall

  1. Connect every TV as its own screen first. See Set up your first screen.
  2. Go to Screens and choose New video wall.
  3. Choose the screens in order: left to right, top row first.
  4. Under Arrange as a grid, choose the layout (for example 2 × 2) and set Room for the TVs' frames, then choose Arrange. The frame room hides a sliver of the picture behind each TV's frame, so lines carry on straight across the gaps: about twice the frame width in wall pixels. Thin-bezel TVs need around 20; ordinary TVs 40–80.
  5. Under What plays, choose a playlist.
  6. Choose Publish to the wall.

Line it up

Choose Show the pattern on the TVs. Every TV shows part of a grid, a circle and crossing lines, with its name. Nudge the TVs in the drawing until the lines run straight from one TV to the next:

  • Drag a TV to move it; it snaps to the others when close.
  • Drag the corner of the selected TV to make it bigger or smaller.
  • Use the arrow buttons, or the arrow keys, to nudge.

Changes reach the TVs in about a second. Hide the pattern when you're done.

Fit the picture

Standard designs are 16:9. A wall of a different shape shows them with bands, unless you:

  • Choose Design for this wall's shape, which makes a design that fills the wall exactly, or
  • Use Position the picture to drag and resize the picture across the TVs. Fit shows all of it; Fill covers the whole wall, cutting a little off the edges.

Sound

Video sound plays from one TV. Select a TV and choose Play the sound here.

Taking a TV out

Select it and choose Take out of the wall. It stays connected as its own screen and goes back to its own playlist after you publish it. Deleting a wall works the same way for every TV in it.
